LATISM 13 NYC: Latinos in Tech Innovation and Social Media

It’s almost here: Latism 13 NYC, the event by and for Latinos in Tech Innovation and Social Media! Where will “you” be next week? At work or play? Looking to be part of something meaningful? Well, THE gathering of Latino influencers and leaders using new technologies and social media to promote social change will be taking place right here in NYC next week. I am proud to be one of the many speakers and supporters of this year’s annual LATISM event, taking place next Thursday, September 19th through Saturday September 21st at the Waldorf Astoria.

With a network of over 140,000 members and a mission of both advancing the social, civic and economic status of the Latino community and raising awareness of how to reach Latinos in social media among corporate brands, NGOs and government entities, LATISM is the leader of one of the most influential online movements in the new “multicultural” Web.

Join us for a powerful agenda, packed with panels and how-to sessions and led by industry experts and community leaders. And say hello! I will be participating in the LGBTQ panel Friday at 1pm, an important discussion on how social media and the connected web have begun breaking down health, cultural and social barriers in the Latino community (as it has in others).
